Calculating pool volume has never been easier.

Whether you’re looking to buy a pool, or just want to know how many gallons you’re filling in your current pool, use our helpful equations to figure out how many gallons of water your pool needs.

Round Pools

Diameter x Diameter x Average Depth x 5.9
Example – 24 x 24 x 4 x 5.9 = 13,595 Gallons

Rectangular Pools

Length x Width x Average Depth x 7.5
Example – 16 x 32 x (3.5 to 8.5) x 7.5 = 23,040 Gallons

Oval Pools

Length x Width x Average Depth x 5.9
Example – 18 x 36 x 5 x 5.9 = 19,116 Gallons

Remember: Calculate volume using the depth of the water, not the wall height!
